Louis "Ozzie" Oswald's Obituary
Mr. Louis “Ozzie” Oswald, age 85, died Monday morning, June 20, 2005 at home. He was born January 7, 1920 in Rechnitz, Austria to Louis and Anna (Cook) Oswald, Sr., and came to the U.S. in 1921, living the rest of his life in the Muskegon area. Mr. Oswald served in the U.S. Navy from 1940-1948 during WWII, and held the rank of Chief Boilerman. He also was a life member of the VFW Post 7729. He worked for Consumers Power Company for 37 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Oswald was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. On August 2, 1996, he married the former Sylvia Brown in Muskegon and she survives him along with a son, Louis Richard (Jeanine) Oswald of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Stacy, Brad, Marissa; 1 great-granddaughter, Myah; and many step-children and step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and Edward Oswald. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday at
