Lowana M. Hack's Obituary
Mrs. Lowana M. Hack, age 94, passed away at her home in Muskegon on Friday, May 21, 2021. She was born on a farm in Ravenna, Michigan on August 17, 1926 to Clarence and Minnie Rose (Portenga) White and has resided in Muskegon since 1950. Lowana had worked as a bookkeeper for Keyboard Music Center of Muskegon prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Muskegon Vikings Lodge. Lowana loved her family and friends. She enjoyed golf, tennis, traveling, gardening, sewing, and bridge club. On June 20, 1950, Lowana married Donald Hack and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1983. She is survived by two children, Daniel (Denise) Hack and Nancy (Timothy) DeVol; seven grandchildren, Christopher Hall, Amy (Leroy) Kreigh, Danielle (Jacob) Hootman, Cassandra DeVol, Nathaniel DeVol, Charlotte (John-Michael) Caskey, and Annika DeVol; four great-grandchildren, Avery Sroka, Samantha Sroka, Emma Hall, and Isabelle Hall; one sister, Dawn Sterken; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hack; daughter, Rhonda Hall; brother, James White and sister, Olive Kruger. The FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St., Norton Shores, MI 49441) with Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION with her family will be from 9:30 – 11AM Tuesday at St. Francis. Burial will be in Nunica Cemetery. MEMORIALS in memory of Lowana may be directed to Pound Buddies (1300 E.
