Mr. Lowell "Mick" Huston's Obituary
Mr. Lowell Earl “Mick” Huston, age 77, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home. He was born in Shelby, MI on October 21, 1934 to Earl and Vera (Conroy) Huston. Mick was a retired Sergeant First Class in the United States Army Reserves and National Guard, having served over 25 years. He had also been employed for 40 years at several local car dealerships in management before retiring from Tom Miller’s in 1994. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a past president of the Mona Shores Youth Club. Mick enjoyed reading and loved sports; he spent many years coaching as well as running the Norton Shores City Recreation softball and hockey leagues for 18 years. On August 19, 1961, Mick married the former Patricia Lou Gilbert in Manistee, MI and she survives him along with 3 children, Vikki (George) Rawson, Michael Huston, and Jeffrey (Joni) Huston; 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Colleen, Trevor, Jacob, Zachary, Michael, Erik, Amanda, Joshua, and Jordyn; and 1 great-granddaughter, Madison. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis L. Lassanske officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-8PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. MEMORIALS to Mercy VNS Hospice or West Shore Lutheran School would be appreciated.
