Lucena M. McGahan's Obituary
Mrs. Lucena M. McGahan age 91, passed away March 17, 2012 at her home. She was born on March 24, 1920 to Carl and Nina DeLong in Walkerville, MI. She was a member of the Northside Seniors, Inc. and loved to spend time with her family. On September 25, 1937 she married William G. McGahan and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1995. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Gordon Lee McGahan of Big Rapids; Nelson (Carol) McGahan of Morley, MI: Ada Wise of Finley, OH; Mary (Stan) Johnson of Twin Lake and Virgil McGahan of Twin Lake; 16 Grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Kelley and half-brother, Dan DeLong. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Clifford, Stanley and Carl DeLong and sister, Lorraine Gardenour. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers please consider Hospice of Michigan. Private family burial will take place at Volney Cemetery in Walkerville.
