Lucile J. Harrington's Obituary
Mrs. Lucile J. Harrington went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 21, 2004. She was born June 21, 1919 in Muskegon to Peter and Mable (Caswell) Slager and lived her entire life in Muskegon. Mrs. Harrington was a homemaker for many years before spending a number of years as a receptionist working for Dr. Riley. She was very active in God’s Work – Child Evangelism, 5 day Clubs, and Muskegon Pregnancy Center. Mrs. Harrington was a life member of Calvary Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a deaconess. SURVIVORS include her husband, Clarence J. Harrington; a son, Jack C. (Sherry) Harrington; a daughter, Jan Harrington; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Betty (Frank) Hansen, Leona (Gary) VanDonkelaar; and 3 brothers, John (Linnea) Slager, Robert Slager, Tom (Maria) Slager. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Lona Slager, Mae Slager, Belle Slager. Mrs. Harrington’s sister, Evelyn Hage, passed away 13 hours after Mrs. Harrington. SERVICES for Mrs. Harrington will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Calvary Church with Pastor Terry Fulk and Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. Interment will take place at Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210.
