Lucille Hajek's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille Hajek, age 86, passed away Friday, April 6, 2007 at a local nursing home. She was born February 23, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Aldrick and Gertrude (Dykema) Aardema and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On March 16, 1946, she married Otto Hajek in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1989. She had worked as a cake decorator for Ryke’s Bakery. She also attended Broadway Baptist Church. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Linda L. Cone of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, David Cone of Muskegon and Jennifer (Brian) Cleveland of Fruitport; 1 great-granddaughter, Katja Cleveland of Fruitport; special sister-in-law, Ellen Aardema of Whitehall; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210 with Rev. David Sieplinga officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM this evening. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Harbor Hospice.
