Mrs. Lucille A. Levandowski's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille “Lucy” A. Levandowski, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in Muskegon. She was born July 21, 1932 to Ellsworth and Sarah E. (Yoder) Bayle in Grand Rapids, and lived almost her entire life in the Muskegon area. She was a lifelong member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Lucille was an exceptional seamstress, a wonderful cook, owned a furniture upholstering business, and loved her cats. She was the “Mother of all Mothers”- even her neighbors called her mom. Her family was of utmost importance to her. On June 9, 1951 she married Mitchell A. Levandowski, and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2007. Survivors include her children: Michael (Debra) Levandowski, James (Cheri) Levandowski, Jean Levandowski, Mark (Diane) Levandowski, Paula (Jim) Baugh, Kay (Kevin) Peters, Linda (Don) Schneeberger, Daniel (Michelle) Levandowski, Kathy (Tony) Schaub, Tim (Gina) Levandowski, Adam Levandowski; 53 grandchildren, 48 great and great-great grandchildren; her sister: Alberta (Larry) Kaiser. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 grandson: Jeffrey Levandowski; 1 grandson-in-law: Chris Terryn; and 1 great granddaughter: Nicole Terryn. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 23, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Marys Cemetery. Visitation at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., on Sunday, April 22 from 2-5 PM, with the Rosary prayed at 2:00 PM. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Levandowski may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
