Lucille G. Lobdell's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille G. Lobdell (formerly Ackerman) passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2022 in Grand Haven at the age of 102. She was born on January 12, 1920 to Dewey and Mildred (Signs) Moll in Grand Rapids, MI. Lucille enjoyed tending to her flower garden and was an excellent bowler. She loved receiving visitors or visiting her friends and family and never met a stranger. Lucille showed her love best through her cooking and baking, always making sure she had plenty of food and goodies readily available. She will be remembered by her knack for telling stories, kind and gracious soul, as well as her high-spirited side where she didn’t mind saying what was on her mind. Most of all, Lucille adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the time she was able to spend with them. Lucille will be remembered by her children, Sharon Smith and Dewey (Sandra) Ackerman; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Riemer. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Ackerman; second husband, Grover Lobdell; daughter, Janice Dean; two grandchildren, Rhonda Dean and Dawn Swanson; and sister, Shirley Griswold. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00PM at Cleon Township Cemetery. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Please feel free to share a memory with the family online at www.sytsemafh.com.
