Lucille M. Olson's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille M. Olson, age 95, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen House. She was born on October 11, 1921 in Muskegon to Michael and Rose (Langlois) Holtz, and resided in the area her entire life. Lucille worked at Hardy Herpolsheimers for many years, and was a charter member of the McGraft Park Seniors. Lucille was a long-time member of St. Jeans Catholic Church, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and most recently St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. She also was a member of the St. Jeans Ladies Guild. On July 3, 1937, she married Carl Olson, and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2005 after 67 years of marriage. SURVIVIORS include five children, Rev. Fr. Michael Olson of Muskegon, Jack (Sandy) Olson of Sun City West, AZ, Tony (Mary) Olson of Muskegon, Sherri (Peter) Roberts of White Lake and Terri (Ed) Luiszer of Cottonwood, AZ; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; brother, John (Linda) Holtz of Florida; sister, LuAnne (Leventis) of Seattle; and many nieces and nephews. Lucille was also preceded in death by son, Carl Olson; daughter, Janet Anderz; two grandsons, Bobby and Craig Anderz; three brothers, Michael, Henry and Russell Holtz; and five sisters, Ann Gradisher, Marion Leventis, Bernice Drelles, Jean Dagen, and Lorraine Kamp. The MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. VISITATION with Lucille’s family will be 6-8 PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565, with the Rosary being prayed at 6PM. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the Mass, from 12-1 PM at church. Memorial Contributions in Lucille’s name to Harbor Hospice would be appreciated.
