Mrs. Lucille D. Rainbolt's Obituary
Lucille D. Rainbolt, 88, passed away early Monday morning, June 9, 2014 at her home. She was born September 17, 1925 to Lewis and Louise (Woods) Bugbee in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Lucille had worked at K-Mart on Henry St. for over 19 years before retiring, and also at Sherman Bowling Lanes. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. She loved spending time outdoors, sports, and playing cards. On November 24, 1942 Lucille married Donald G. Rainbolt, Sr., and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2004. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Cheryl (William) Smith of Norton Shores; 1 sister, Claretta Smith of Holton; many nieces, nephews, 1 cousin, and several other friends and neighbors. She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Don Rainbolt, Jr.; 1 sister, Isabelle Stem; 1 brother, Carl Reichert; and her mother, Louise Thorenfelth. The funeral service for Lucille will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, at First Presbyterian Church in Muskegon with Pastor Jim Rausch officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Visitation at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 will be from 6-8 PM Thursday evening, and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Rainbolt may be made to Mercy VNS Hospice or First Presbyterian Church Choir.
