Mrs. Lucille Redd's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille Redd, age 87, passed away peacefully at the Poppen House on Monday, April 26, 2021. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 27, 1933 to Andrew Barnes and Elizabeth Gellion. Lucille later moved to Muskegon MI and was a longtime resident of Muskegon. She attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated with her diploma. She married Murphy Redd and to this union four children were born in Chicago, Illinois. Lucille was employed for many years as Residential Supervisor for Muskegon County Youth Home until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, and ceramics. She accepted Christ at an early age. Lucille is survived by her children, Keith Redd, Anthony (Debra) Redd, Kevin Redd; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends. She was preceded in death by both her parents; husband; Murphy Redd, daughter; Sharon Redd-Kelly; brother, Carl Barnes; two sisters; Alfreda Rice and Betty Paige. A PUBLIC VISITATION for will be held 1 hour prior to service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Kingdom Embassy, 3025 Glenside Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441 with Pastor Arthur Duren Sr., officiating.
