Lucille E. Evans' Obituary
Mrs. Lucille E. Evans, age 91, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at home. She was born June 10, 1918 in Muskegon to Frank and Agnes (Gringhuis) Sipmann. She moved to California in 1960, before returning to Muskegon 1991. Mrs. Evans worked at S.S. Kresge Company (K Mart) in California, before retiring in 1981. SURVIVORS include 5 children, James (Rosalie) Evans of Norton Shores, Judith (John) Knill of Muskegon, Thomas (Janice) Evans, Linda Merrill and Diana (Craig) Piftorious all of California; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; adopted daughter, Sue (Vern) Gross of California; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Sipmann of North Muskegon. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by daughter, Sharron Eszlinger; sisters, Loretta Liham and Helen Davis; and brother, Frances Sipmann. SERVICES will be 1PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231.798.1100 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 12-1 PM. Burial will take place in Egelston Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Harbor Hospice will be appreciated.
