Lucille G. Cox's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille G. Cox, age 87, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Norton Shores. She was born on June 24, 1924 in Rothbury, MI to Howard and Myrtle (White) Ayers, and resided in the area most of her life. Lucille was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church, and attended their Morning Star Bible Study Group. She was very active, and past secretary of the Muskegon Shuffleboard Club, enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and cards, and was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. Lucille was a beloved mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her precious grandchildren. On May 15, 1944, she married Woodrow Cox and together vacationed in Florida for many years. He preceded Lucille in death on April 13, 2007. SURVIVIORS include 2 daughters, Judy (James) Kidd and Janis Pothoff, both of Muskegon; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Gaunt and Jennifer (Chris) Hare; and 2 great grandchildren, Ethan and Rhyan Hare. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1PM Thursday at Forest Park Covenant Church with Rev. Wally Coots officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 12-1PM.
