Lucille M. "Lou" DeRouin's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille M. “Lou” DeRouin, age 80, died early Tuesday morning, November 11, 2003. She was born June 14, 1923 in Escanaba, MI to Edward and Virginia (Beauchamp) Goodreau and had lived in Muskegon since 1949. Mrs. DeRouin owned and operated Lou’s Beauty Shop for 20 years before retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. On January 12, 1946 she married Andrew L. DeRouin in Escanaba, MI and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1992. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, John (Bretta) DeRouin, Jerry (Patti) DeRouin both of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Amy DeRouin, Chad DeRouin, Christa DeRouin, Andelyn DeRouin; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle DeRouin; brother, Robert (Anna) Goodreau of Escanaba, MI; and sister, Joyce Keane of Escanaba, MI. She was also preceded in death by her son, James DeRouin. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with her family will be 6-8 PM Friday at the CHURCH with a Vigil for the Deceased held at 7:00 PM.
