Lucille Parker Stanton's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille D. (‘nee Parker) Stanton, age 72, went to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, May 18, 2004, at the home of her son, Duane, in Grand Rapids. She was born May 18, 1932 in Muskegon to John & Margaret (Sturgeon) Parker and resided here until moving to North Carolina in 1983, where she lived until moving to Grand Rapids, in 2001. She was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of N.C. where she was involved with V.B.S. and sang in the choir for 20 years. She currently attended Old Country Church in Paris, MI. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Sheryl Stanton-McCurtis of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Majalca and Rev. Duane (Kay) Stanton of Grand Rapids, Mark Stanton of Munson, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, John (Pat), Ronald (Alice), Andrew (Nancy) and James (Helen) Parker; 2 sisters, Sharon (Robert) Miller and Barbara Bullard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her parents, 2 sisters Pat Asprey and Joyce Parker and brother, Frank. SERVICES will be 2:30PM Saturday at Sheridan Drive Baptist Church with the Revs. Duane Stanton and Steve Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroe, NC.
