Luscinda J. Stillson's Obituary
Luscinda Jane Stillson, age 97, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born March 8, 1910, to John and Alvia (Ferguson) Taylor in Kimball Township, Michigan, and she married Floyd J. Stillson on February 12, 1930, in Onaway, MI. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1986.
Mrs. Stillson served on the VFW Auxiliary in Grand Haven for many years. She loved gardening and sewing, and she especially enjoyed taking camping trips with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Stillson and John (Audrey) Stillson, both of Grand Haven; seven grandchildren: Darwin, Jeremy and his wife, Cory, and Brian Stillson, Lesha (Ray) Richardson, Melissa Stillson, and Lloyd Stillson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Floyd D. Stillson and a granddaughter, Lucinda Stillson.
The service for Mrs. Stillson will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Gerald Poehl officiating. Friends may meet the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the funeral home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Robinson Township Cemetery.
