Lydia Larson's Obituary
Lydia Olga Larson, age 93, of Grand Haven (formerly of Park Ridge, IL) passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at a local care facility. She was born December 7, 1912, to Adolf and Paula (Koch) Giesler in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Larson on December 7, 1970.
Mrs. Larson moved here from Illinois in 1990. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the North Ottawa Community Hospital Guild. Lydia enjoyed bingo, reading, knitting and quilting.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Sue) Larson of Grand Haven and Dean Larson of Bradenton, FL; seven grandchildren, Mark, Christopher and Scott Larson; and seven great-grandchildren.
A private service for Mrs. Larson will be held at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Dieter Haupt officiating. There will be no public visitation. Interment will be in Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 527 Taylor Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
