Lyle J. Cady's Obituary
Lyle J. Cady, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2024. He was born February 5, 1947, in Muskegon, MI, to Edward and Zulu (Seton) Cady. Lyle spent his entire life in the Muskegon area and worked as a mechanic at Sappi Fine Paper for 38 years. On May 15, 1965, Lyle married Susan Brunais.
Lyle liked golfing, was an avid coin collector and enjoyed a good whisky. He was a people person, and his personality could light up the room. He was known as the “Bear” due to his size, but he had a kind heart and was such a generous person. Lyle was the “rock” of the family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and great-grandfather.
Lyle will be dearly missed by his wife, Susan; children, Thomas Cady, Theresa (Michael) Thompson, and Tiffany Baird; grandchildren, Shanely DeShawn, Brittany (AJ) Jenson, Corey (Devin) Thomas, and Matthew (Alicia) Baird; great grandchildren, Kayden Baird, Alex DeShawn, Emma Jenson, and Oliver Baird; and sisters, Redeene (Chuck) Lambert and Phyllis Robey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will take place from 12-4pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Samuel Lutheran Church (540 Houston Ave., Muskegon, MI 49441). MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
