Lynda Kay Dreese's Obituary
Lynda Kay Dreese, age 78, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born January 6, 1945, in Muskegon, MI, to Harold and Gladys (Orcutt) Obenauf. She attended Orchard View High School and graduated in 1963. She then studied Art at Muskegon Community College and obtained an Associate Degree. On June 9, 1973, she married Arthur R. Dreese Jr., and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1995.
Lynda had a heart for volunteering and dedicated many hours at Spring Lake Wesleyan and Watermark Church. She enjoyed boating and playing cards with her friends. She also loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Lynda will be dearly missed by her sons, Arthur R. Dreese III and Charles (Carissa Marie DeWind) Dreese; grandchildren, Chloe and Lucas Dreese; and brother, Terry (Betty) Obenauf. Along with her husband Arthur, she was preceded in death by her parents.
VISITATION with the family will take place Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417) from 5-7 PM. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Watermark Church (13060 US Highway 31, Grand Haven, MI 49417) with Pastor Steve Deur officiating. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Watermark Church Local Missions Fund or General Fund.
