Lynette Jean Baker's Obituary
Lynette “Jean” (Hanks) Baker, age 90 of Muskegon, passed away at home on Friday, December 1, 2017. Jean was born on August 30, 1927 to Bennie and Lena (Williams) Hanks. On December 12, 1946, she married the love of her life, Homer Baker. They both loved to square dance, and they did that for many years. They also enjoyed spending time in Custer, MI. She was a very loving mother, and she loved spending time with her grandchild, and her great grandchild. Jean had a passion for shopping, and that was one of her favorite hobbies. She also loved to take trips and see new places. Jean is survived by her daughters, Theresa Hicks and Rannette Baker; grandchild, Gary (Becky) Hilgeman; great grandchild, Dylan Hilgeman; sister, Dorallee VanDyke; and her sister-in-law, Florence Hanks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer; son, Earl Baker; son-in-law, Joe Hicks; great grandson, Cody Helgeman; sister, Julia Kemp; and brother, Byron Hanks. The family will be having a Private burial at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
