I visited with Lynn near the end. While failing in health his mind was as sharp as ever.
A good and honest person I'm humbled to know he included me in his circle of "friends".

I met Lynn Jon and Willa years ago as a Chronicle reporter. Lynn Jon cared deeply for the country he served in uniform and as one willing to organize men and women to help our community, county, and state. He was a good man who will be missed.

Five minutes after I walked into his shop, Lynn and I were friends. Over the years, I noticed that was true about almost everyone that walked in - it was Lynn that was special, not me.
