Lynn R. "Sandy" Sanderson's Obituary
Mr. Lynn R. “Sandy” Sanderson, age 78, passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born April 22, 1927 in Muskegon to Boyd and Blanche (Smith) Sanderson and lived his entire life in the area. On September 23, 1949, he married the former Virginia Rose Linstrom in Muskegon. He worked for 35 years as a salesman for Daniels Office Supply. He retired in 1992 after working 11 years in maintenance for Muskegon Public Schools. He was active with the Vikings Linne Lodge #57 of Muskegon and the Muskegon Eagles. SURVIVORS include his wife of 56 years, Virginia R. Sanderson of Muskegon; 3 sons, Jeff (Laura) Sanderson of Charleston, SC, Scott (Jenette) Sanderson of Spring Lake, Steve (Kim) Sanderson of St. Clair Shores, MI; and 6 grandchildren, Erick, Jacob, Anna, Brendan, Kyle and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Darma Sanderson. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 S. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with the Rev. John H. Brown officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION with Sandy’s family will be 5-8 PM Monday evening.
