Mrs. M. Jeanette Wagenmaker's Obituary
Mrs. M. Jeanette Wagenmaker, age 96, passed away April 25, 2012. She was born October 30, 1915 to Howard and Helene (White) Pierce. Jeanette was a long time active member of Olivet Reformed Church. She loved to garden and was a member of the Tri-City Garden Club. Ed and Jeanette owned and operated a family greenhouse business for many years. She is SURVIVED by her children, Joanne Hawkins-Vargo, Betty (Tom) Proksa, C. Kay (Norman) Beebe, Jim (Carol) Wagenmaker, Harvey (Judy) Wagenmaker; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, John (Faye) Wagenmaker, Clarence (Evelyn) Wagenmaker; sister-in-laws, Elizabeth (Bess) (Gene) Farber, Johanna Wagenmaker and Ann Wagenmaker. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; granddaughters, Rachael Beebe and Mary Ellen Johnson; great-great-granddaughters, Emily and Alissa Smith; brothers, Elwin Pierce, Frank H. Pierce and Carl Pierce; and sister, Alice E. Young. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Jeanette will be 11 A.M. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. A time of VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Lee Chapel and 1 hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Olivet Reformed Church or Hospice of North Ottawa Community. A private burial service will take place Monday at Mona View Cemetery.
