Madeline T. Platt's Obituary
Mrs. Madeline T. Platt, age 99, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born on May 23, 1919 in Muskegon Heights to Stephen and Magdalene (Sladek) Pastucha and was a life resident of Muskegon. Madeline worked for Mercy Hospital for 30 years, prior to retiring. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. On March 30, 1940, she married Douglas Platt, and he preceded her in death in 1979. SURVIVORS include six children, Margaret Mary Platt of Norton Shores, Catherine (Donald) Keefe of Oklahoma, Douglas (Rebecca) Platt, Jr. of Norton Shores, Susan (Edward) Szymas of Cascade, Timothy (Demera) Platt of Port Sheldon, and Mary (Fred) Lane of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph (Katie) Pastucha of Florida; special niece, Rosemary Novack; and many other nieces and nephews. Madeline was preceded in death by two brothers, Isadore and Frank Pastucha; sisters, Sister Ann Marilyn RSM, Mary Antekeier, Stephanie Kolenic, Cecilia Zuber; and grandson, Donald Keefe. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev Fr. Charles Hall presiding. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
