Madge M. Picklesimer's Obituary
Mrs. Madge M. Picklesimer, age 80, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at her home following a battle with acute leukemia. She was born September 12, 1927 in Kansas City, MO. She was the daughter of Patrick and Hattie Mae (Bryant) Younce one of twelve children. Madge was raised in Pikeville, KY where she met and married her husband, Frank E. Picklesimer on September 12, 1947. They have been married for 60 years. She was a member of Central Assembly of God on Home Street. She worked as a waitress and cook for several area restaurants. When she retired, she was a member of the Oakridge Quilting Club who made quilts for people in need. Along with her husband, Frank Picklesimer, SURVIVORS include four children, Arbadella (Bud) LaBarge, Ricky (Beanie) Pickelsimer, Randy (Cheryl) Picklesimer, and Jason (Melanie) Picklesimer. She has eleven grandchildren: Mike LaBarge, Brandy Campagna, Rick and Jamie Pickelsimer, Randy, Travis, and Tara Picklesimer, and Bethanie, Kayne and Robert Picklesimer. She has two great grandchildren: Jordan Campagna and Christopher Picklesimer Dwyer. She has one sister, Maxie Wilkins of Worwick, Maryland and one brother, Clarence Younce of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Terrie Lee. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Central Assembly of God (896 Home Street). VISITATION with Madge's family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
