Mae H. Whitaker's Obituary
Mrs. Mae H. Whitaker, age 91, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2003. She was born January 26, 1912 in Chicago, IL to Cornelius and Elsie (Ford) Mulder and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On October 31, 1930, she married Joseph M. Whitaker in Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1990. Mrs. Whitaker established the library at St. Francis deSales Catholic School and continued to work there for 12 years before her retirement. She was a communicant member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and was active with the Senior Citizens Group at the Norton Shores Library. SURVIVORS include 1 son, Joseph N. Whitaker of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Lolene (Mike) Osborn of North Muskegon, Lowell (Kristia) Whitaker, Neil Whitaker and Krystal Whitaker all of Muskegon; 3 great-granchildren, Amy (Alan) Hosford, Jeremy Church and Allyssa Whitaker. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lowell Whitaker in 1955. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday, December 4, 2003 in Marian Chapel at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding.
