Mrs Magdelena Forrest's Obituary
Magdelena “Nena” Forrest passed away on May 13th, 2013 She was 87 years old. Nena was born on July 22nd 1925 to Mauro and Manuela Trevino. She married at the young age of 16 to Sixto Flores. Together they were blessed with 7 children. Nena was a busy individual. She took up many jobs including a full time job at home, and housekeeping others homes. Later in life she and Sixto separated and she married Floyd “Bud” Forrest in 1964. They enjoyed several years of marriage until his death in the late 90’s. Nena was a loving mother and friend to many and whoever she met but first and foremost to her was always her family. She will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include 6 of her children, Jose (Nellie) Flores, David (Karen) Flores, Carolina (Jon) Hallack, Diana Evans, Hilda (Joseph) Ortega, Ruben (Tina) Flores; 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jovita Saenz, Amelia Palacios, and Christina (Fred) Baxter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Sixto Flores; her second husband Floyd “Bud” Forrest; parents; son Sixto Flores Jr; grandchildren Donna Vandomelan and Ian Coon; brother Oscar Trevino brother-in-laws Andreas Saenz, and Israel Palacios. Services will be held on Monday June 17, 2013 at 11am at the Kingdom Prayer Gathering, located at 930 Creston. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice or the Kingdom Prayer Gathering.
