Makayla Rae Vanderlaan's Obituary
Makayla Rae Vanderlaan, age 4, precious daughter of Bryan and Brittany LaFond, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 14, 2015. Although her stay on earth was brief, she left a lasting imprint on many hearts and gave the gift of life through organ donation.
Makayla was a very spirited little girl who loved everybody and would light up the room when she entered. She loved to dance and was quite a little social butterfly.
She is survived by her parents, Bryan and Brittany (Lewis) LaFond; grandparents, Ralph (Brenda) LaFond; great-grandparents, Joan Keith, and George (Mary) Talton; step-sister, Setra LaFond; and numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Stephanie Wallager, on January 6, 2013.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Kenneth Bass officiating. Friends may meet the family two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in Lakeshore Cemetery.
