Malcom "Red" Larrow's Obituary
Mr. Malcom E. “Red” Larrow, age 86, passed away Sunday morning, September 19, 2004. He was born February 20, 1918 to Arthur and Charlotte (LaVigne) Larrow in LaSalle, MI, and lived in the Muskegon area since 1954. He worked for 20 years at White Lake Construction, retiring in 1978, was a WWII U.S. Army veteran with the 32nd Red Arrow Division, a member of the VFW Don Rea Post, the D.A.V., the American Legion, and was a member of the Carpenters Local Union for 40 years. On October 18, 1940 he married Ivy VanEeckhoutte in Bowling Green, OH, and she preceded him in death on September 6, 2004. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Joanne Marie (Eugene) Hosko of North Muskegon; 2 granddaughters, Dr. Korinne (Bradley) Swain of North Muskegon, and Suzanne Renee (Thomas McNabnay) VanPelt of Whitehall; 1 step-granddaughter, Amanda (Tom) Quinn of Ferndale, MI; 3 great-grandchildren, Noah Swain, Emily Swain, and Nicholas McNabnay; 2 sisters, Shirley (Frank) Thompson of Lowell, Joyce Howe of Jackson. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arnold and Howard Larrow; and 1 sister, Thelma Geyman. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,737 Apple Ave.,(231) 726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Military rites will be under the auspices of the Don Rea VFW Post #8846. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service.
