Manuel Ledesma's Obituary
Mr. Manuel Ledesma, age 88, passed away Sunday morning, January 11, 2015. Manuel was born May 13, 1926 in Saginaw, MI to Juan and Dolores (Duran) Ledesma. He worked in production at BilMar Foods for many years and prior to that at Hekkema Celery Farms. Manuel married the former Dorothy Wightman and she preceded him in death of September 14, 2014. Manuel had a wonderful collection of hats, and loved to take pictures at family events. He is survived by his brother, Severo Ledesma of Saginaw; a sister, Luz Maria of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lupe and Dolores; and two brothers, Louis and Henry. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be made in Fruitland Twp. Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church or Harbor Hospice.
