Marcella "Marcie" VanDonkelaar's Obituary
Mrs. Marcella “Marcie” VanDonkelaar, age 85, passed away early Monday morning at a local nursing home. Marcie was born August 26, 1920, in Muskegon to Ted and Minnie (Brace) Musgrave. On October 23, 1942, she married Andrew VanDonkelaar in Muskegon. Mrs. VanDonkelaar was a long time member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church where she had been active throughout the years in ladies fellowship, including The Friendship Circle. Marcie was an avid golfer, a member of Senior West Michigan Women’s Golf Association and a member of Lincoln Golf Course. She was also a former member of Muskegon’s Sweet Adelines. Marcella is SURVIVED by her husband of 63 years, Andrew; her daughters, Marcia Tortorile of Muskegon and Kathy (Ron) Bartell of Bradenton, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred (Marvin) Hoeksema of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, John and Fred Musgrave. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Calvin Christian Reformed Church (937 W. Norton Ave.) with Pastor Ron Nyenhuis officiating. VISITATION will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at
