Marcia Jelier's Obituary
Mrs. Marcia Jelier, age 78, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born July 1, 1943, in Muskegon to Martin and Helen (Bultema) Timmer. ON August 12, 1966, she married William “Bill” Jelier.
Marcia was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She graduated from Muskegon High School and Hackley School of Nursing and worked as an RN many years around the state. She enjoyed going to their cabin, snowmobiling, knitting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill; three daughters: Pamela (Sheridan) Tongue, Brenda Remington, and Julia (Bryan) Anderson; four grandchildren: Riley and Quinn Remington, Tristan and Ryan Tongue; step-grandchildren, Will and Bryson Anderson; siblings: Louise (Thom) Poel, Mary (Dave) Komosinski, Janice (Tom) Newmyer, Charles (Kathy) Timmer; sister-in-law, Donna Timmer; and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Helen; and brother, Dale Timmer.
A memorial service will take place 3:00 PM Friday, October 8, 2021, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at church. Marcia’s service will be livestreamed on church’s Facebook page. Memorial Contributions in memory of Marcia may be given to The Alzheimer’s Association.
