Marcia Ann Sobish's Obituary
Mrs. Marcia Ann (Lynn) Sobish, age 81, passed away on January 29, 2022. Marcia was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 23, 1940, to the late Howard "Ray" and Evelyn (Williams) Lynn. Marcia lived her entire life in the Muskegon area, graduating from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1958. On April 18, 1959, she married the love of her life, Jack L. Sobish, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2007. Jack and Marcia chose a simple life and settled down in Glenside where they raised three children. Marcia was an avid reader and had a lifelong interest in history, most especially the Civil War era. She enjoyed watching her garden grow, the rabbits nibble on clover and birds flocking to the feast she provided and bath she made ready. Surviving Marcia are her son, Jack (Carol) Sobish, Jr. of Westerville, OH; her daughter, Jean (David) Kennedy of Muskegon; granddaughters, Jillian Kennedy of Grand Haven and Corey (Erik) Plumley of Navarre, FL; grandsons Jack (Marcia) Sobish III of Copperas Cove, TX, David (Haylee) Sobish of Worthington, OH, Kevin Sobish of Worthington, OH, Eric (Maria) Sobish of Erie, PA, Ryan (Lexi Johnson) Kennedy of North Muskegon, Daniel Sobish, Jr., several cherished great-grandchildren; Sister-in-law Nancy Sobish, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A son, Daniel M. Sobish, passed away on April 28, 2008. Marcia also leaves behind her beloved brother, Dennis (Linda) Lynn of Grand Haven. Her youngest brother, Michael J. Lynn, passed away on November 13, 2021. The funeral service will be Friday, February 4, at 1:00 PM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, 49441. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Sobish may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
