Mrs. Marcia L. Szatkowski's Obituary
Mrs. Marcia L. Szatkowski, age 55, passed away Saturday morning, February 11, 2012 following a short illness. She was born August 22, 1956 to LaVern and Beverly (Smith) Jeffries in Shelby, and lived all of her life in the W. Michigan area. Marcia worked at Mercy Hospital as a Laboratory technologist for 25 years. She also worked as the office manager and insurance billing specialist at Fruitport Chiropractic for the past 15 years. Marcia enjoyed physical activities such as hiking, running, bike riding, and walking. She loved to spend time with family. On her down time she often liked to read. Marcia is survived by her husband, Steven Szatkowski – Doctor of chiropractic @ Fruitport Chiropractic; 3 children, Angela Szatkowski, Andrew (fiancée Ashlie LeMieux) Szatkowski, and Amy Szatkowski; 1 sister, Susan (Robert) Blanchette of Grand Haven; her father, LaVern (Nancy) Jeffries of Rothbury. She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly; 1 sister, Nancy; 1 brother, Michael. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak presiding. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, will be from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Tuesday, with a Scripture Service at 4:30.
