Marcia J. Grams' Obituary
Mrs. Marcia Jane Grams, age 85, died Wednesday morning, January 14, 2009, in Muskegon. She was born January 1, 1924 in Nunica, MI to Leo & Eyla (Gleason) Bell and had been a life resident of the area. Prior to her retirement in 1986, Marcia had been the manager of Brunswick Credit Union where she had been employed 39 years. She was a member of McGraft Memorial Congregational Church and had been active in a Bible Study there, served on the Diaconate Board and was treasurer of the Electa Guild. Marcia had previously been an active member of Crestwood United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army Auxiliary, Muskegon Eastside Lions, Viking Linne Lodge #57 and as an usher at the Frauenthal. She also volunteered at the MAPS Supper House and Mercy Hospital. Marcia was married to August W. Grams, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her son, James, on October 15, 1989 and by her brother, Harold Bell. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, William (Susan) Grams of Twin Lake and Thomas (Leone) Grams of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Saturday, January 17, 2009 at McGraft Memorial Congregational Church (1617 Palmer Blvd.) with the Rev. Dr. Gerald J. Wahr officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Marcia’s family will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
