Margaret Montgomery Alexander's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Montgomery Alexander, age 100, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2021 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Winnipeg, Canada on June 15, 1920 to Edward and Catherine (Dey) Sanderson. On April 25, 1941, Margaret married Carl Lee Alexander in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2003. Margaret worked for Hackley Hospital as a Nurses Aide and volunteered for the American Red Cross and Ross Park School as a Teachers Aide. She was avid reader, loved gardening, and made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for the Hackley Hospital Gift Shop. Margaret also enjoyed square dancing with her husband and square-dancing group. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three children, Kathleen (Jack) Briggs, Joseph (Pam) Alexander, and Scott (Kathy) Alexander; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Carl, Margaret was preceded in death by a son, William Alexander; her parents, and one sister.
