Margaret "Anne" Barber's Obituary
Margaret Anne Elizabeth Halley Barber, age 87 years, five months, passed away on April 28, 2012 at 12:24 P.M. Born in Muskegon on Dec. 15, 1924 to Richard H. and Maude M. (Cooley) Halley, she was the former wife of Leonard D. Barber. She was the Production Manager of Anne Elizabeth Productions, a writer and homemaker. Mrs. Barber was a former member of Fruitport Eagles Chapter 666. Her SURVIVORS include a daughter, Melinda S. Bailey, two sons: Alan J. Barber and Phillip G. Barber; a sister, Ellen Thumma; 11 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David M. Barber and a brother, Richard Edward Halley. Anne was a very giving person who took others under her wing. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mrs. Barber will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, phone 231-726-5210, with VISITATION from 1:30 to 2:00 P.M. Thursday, and interment following in Norton Cemetery. Peace offerings to Harbor Hospice or Muskegon Rescue Mission would be appreciated.
