Margaret Lucille Bird's Obituary
Margaret Lucille Bird age 83, passed away at home on November 29, 2013. Margaret was born on May 6, 1930 to Frank and Vivian McNarland. At a young age she met Harold Bird and they were married in 1954. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage and 4 children. She worked for Muskegon Regional Center for many years before retiring in the mid-1990s. She was a member of Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church, and Covenant Women. Margaret enjoyed Wednesday morning coffee with the ladies from church, crocheting, reading and making her homemade bread. First and foremost was always her family. She was a loving, funny, simple woman who will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include her husband Harold Sr.; daughter, Vivian (Ira) Hite; sons, Harold Jr. (Myra), and Vernon (Denise); son-in-law, Thomas (Lorri) Chester; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and brother Gordon McNarland. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Virginia Chester. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church 4283 N Weber Rd, Whitehall with Rev. Ronald Gelaude officiating. VISITATION will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave 231-726-5210. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Red Cross, Mercy VNS Hospice, or the Building Fund of Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church
