Margaret Catron's Obituary
Margaret Catron, age 89, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, November 19, 2005, at her home. She was born March 20, 1916 to Robert and Nellie (Hasseldahl) Murie in Whitehall, MI; and she married Claude Catron on May 22, 1940 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1987. Margaret was a member of the First Reformed Church of America; and she worked for many years at Erickson Grocery in Grand Haven. She later worked at North Ottawa Community Hospital as a housekeeper. She retired from there in March 1986. She was active in Hospice as a volunteer until her illness. Survivors include her daughter Mary E. Heiles of Urbana, IL; a son, John M. (Marilyn) Catron of Dandridge, TN; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and three brothers. A private memorial service for Margaret Catron will be held at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Louis Kraay officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
