Margaret A. DeWitt's Obituary
Margaret A. DeWitt, age 83 met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was born on September 12, 1938 to Max and Helen (Dykema) Rogalla in Muskegon, MI. She was a dedicated employee of 40+ years at GTE telephone service, where she repaired phones until retiring in 1991. On October 23, 1965, she married the love of her life, Jerry DeWitt in Grand Haven, MI. They cherished 44 years full of love and laughter. Jerry preceded her in death on November 24, 2006. Margaret loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, deer hunting and mushroom hunting. She also liked to cook, can vegetables and travel. Above all things, she truly loved spending time with her family and friends. Her tender-loving spirit and radiant smile will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Kaye (Ron) Valetutto; sister, Frances (Charles) Irwin; brother, Joe (Rosemary) Rogalla; nephew, Joe (Chris) Irwin; niece, Paula (John) Rogers; sister-in-law, Sharon Rogalla; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Jerry DeWitt; son, Michael DeWitt; and brother, Jim Rogalla. A Memorial Service will be held later this spring.
