Margaret Marie Langlois' Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Marie Langlois, age 68, of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. A yearlong battle with Lou Gehrig’s (ALS) disease returned her to the Lord. She was born March 26, 1949 in Muskegon to William and Senja Wilhelmina (Juntila) Herrgord. Margaret and Phillip John Langlois married on July 25, 1969 at St. Mary’s in Spring Lake.
Margaret blessed others throughout her life with her generosity, creativity, intelligence, and talents. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, quilting and vegetable gardening. Her expertise as a seamstress provided wedding and prom dresses, outfits, accessories and mending for family and friends. Margaret also enjoyed helping friends old and new with whatever home projects needed to be done, without asking for anything in return. Her altruistic nature extended to her final donation to the Mercy Health St. Mary’s-MSU Brain Bank.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip; three children: John Langlois, Sonja (Bil) Munck, and April Langlois; seven grandchildren: Olivia Langlois, Anna Langlois, Allison Munck, Emily Munck, Ty Peasley, Rylley Peasley and Lawson Peasley; sister, Sheila; brother and sisters-in-law; Archie (Chum), Norm (Linda), Richard (Barb), George (Phyllis), Mark (Claudia), Ted (Pam), Tom (Paula), Mike (Kay) Langlois, Donna (Bill) Walters, Mary (Ron) Estlick, Vickie Langlois, Theresa (Terry) Dove; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Senja Wilhelmina; sister, Sonja; and brother, John Patrick Herrgord; in-laws, Archie and Victoria Langlois.
