Mrs. Margaret M. Larson's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret M. Larson, age 95, passed away Thursday September 25, 2014. Margaret was born on November 7, 1918 to her parents Hubert and Ida Smith in Muskegon. She married her husband Harold Rex Larson on her birthday 24 years later in 1942. She was a member of the St. Joseph Women’s Guild, the National Council of Catholic Women, the Vasa Lodge and the Mona Lake Boating Club. She was a faithful lifelong member of St. Joseph Church. Margaret was a wonderful cook and the greatest mother in Muskegon. She is SURVIVED by her children; James “deceased” (Alexandria) Larson of Muskegon, Thomas (Connie) Larson of Muskegon, Marie Larson of Muskegon, William (Cindy) Larson of Muskegon, Julia (James) DeYoung of Rockford, Robert Larson of Muskegon, and John Larson of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; brothers, Nick, Joe, Bub, Ray, and Louie; sister, Catherine. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 451 S. Getty St., with Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum presiding. Visitation for Margaret will be held an hour prior to Mass at the church. Burial will follow services at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
