Margaret "Marnie" Rose (Pastucha) Ribesky's Obituary
Margaret “Marnie” Rose (Pastucha) Ribesky, age 97, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at White Lake Assisted Living, surrounded by her loving caregivers.
Marnie was born on March 4, 1929, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, to James and Matilda Pastucha. On October 20, 1951, she married the love of her life, Michael L. Ribesky, in Muskegon, Michigan.
Marnie dedicated 40 years of service as a payroll clerk with CWC Textron. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s of the Woods Catholic Church and later St. James Catholic Parish, where she generously volunteered for many years.
Marnie found great joy in gardening, traveling with her sisters, Ann and Vickie, and spending time with her family. She especially cherished her nieces, Linda Munson and Becky Weaver, as well as the many other nieces and nephews, who were such an important part of her life. She was also blessed with the longtime friendship and kindness of Betty (Tom) Tindall and Shelley (John) Horning of Whitehall, whose companionship meant so much to her.
She is survived by sister, Victoria Swartz of Muskegon, along with three generations of beloved nieces and nephews.
Marnie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael L. Ribesky; her sister, Ann (Donald) Runyan; her brother, Edward (Helen Ann) Pastucha; and her brother-in-law, Ivan Swartz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, July 27, 2026, at St. James Catholic Parish, 5149 Dowling St., Montague, MI 49437, with Very Reverend Ronald D. Hutchinson presiding. A luncheon will follow the Mass for family and friends. A private burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Muskegon, Michigan.
