Margaret E. Olinsky's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth “Peg” Olinsky went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born on July 1, 1930 to Charles and Rose (Keim) Schwab in Clarksville, MI. Margaret served different secretarial positions, most recently working at NOCH for 20 years in various departments. Margaret was a former member of All Shores Wesleyan Church and First Baptist Church of Spring Lake and a current member of Spring Lake Harvest. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter, cheering for the Detroit Tigers with her son, golfing (taught to her by her late husband Alex), walking the beach and spending time in her garden. She had a kind, compassionate heart, which was evident while volunteering for several decades with Love Inc, International Aid, and various Church events and needs. She continued to give back and help others until the age of 84 until she was physically unable to anymore. Margaret loved her family and enjoyed spending quality time at various gatherings, especially her 100 year annual Schwab reunion in Ionia, MI. Most importantly was Margaret’s love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the relationship she had with Him, which helped shape her into the thoughtful and kindhearted woman she lived each day. Her last wish was to have all her beloved family and friends accept Jesus as their personal Savior so she can be with them again in Heaven. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael (Barbara) Olinsky and Michele (Stephen) Yant; grandchildren, Blake Yant, Jared Yant, Joshua (Kelsey) LaMie, and Rebecca (Joseph) Kinney; great-grandchildren, Arabella and Jon-Luc; sister-in-law, Amy Schwab; and many dear and special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Olinsky, and siblings, Evelyn, Harold, Esther, Samuel, and Leonard. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 23 at 12:00PM at Living Word Church Muskegon (1551 Wood St., Muskegon, 49442). Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margaret’s memory may be directed to Love Inc, International Aid, Right to Life, or Living Word Church Muskegon. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
