Margaret "Peg" A. McCabe's Obituary
Margaret “Peg” A. McCabe, age 86, passed away on July 5, 2019. She was born on December 21, 1932 to Francis and Helen (Buckley) LaPres in Muskegon. Peg was a faithful and active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She worked for several catering companies during her life and worked in the St. Francis’ school kitchen. Peg was a wonderful wife, mom, granny and greatma. On October 3, 1953 she married William “Bill” J. McCabe and they spent many happy years together until his passing in 2017. She is survived by her children, Mary (Tim) Morris, Jim (Karen) McCabe, Alice McCabe, Al (Lilly) McCabe, Michelle McCabe, Richard (Carol) McCabe, Paul (Angela) McCabe; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; sons, Timothy and David; sister, Mary Terese; brothers, Francis, Joseph, Robert and Thomas. VISITATION will take place on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with a ROSARY to be prayed at 5:30 PM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441. A FUNERAL MASS will take place on Monday, July 8, 2019 at The St. Francis de Sales - Marian Chapel (2929 McCracken St.) at 11:00 AM with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. For a more lasting memory, donation’s in Peg’s name can be made to St. Francis de Sales building fund.
