Margaret Ann Petrick's Obituary
Margaret A. Petrick passed away peacefully at Christian Care Assisted Living a few months after her 103rd birthday.
She was born in Sullivan Township to Anna (Zovin) and Vincent F. Svoboda along with 8 siblings. Her three children survive her, Betty Mitchell, of Sarasota, FL, Doris (Randy) McCourt of Pleasant Hill, OR, and Robert Petrick of Fruitport. In addition, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grand children survive her. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 72 years, Joseph, in 2007 at age 93 and a son, Terry Michael in 1978.
In her early years, she was employed part-time in retail and was a volunteer with the Red Cross as a “Grey Lady”. At age 100 she was still living alone enjoying her numerous birds that frequented her feeders, completing word puzzles, reading, playing solitaire, making a batch of cookies and in younger days, loved to crochet.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Rev. Charlene Spalding officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Christian Care Assisted Living or Harbor Hospice Foundation is appreciated.
