Margaret Rop's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Rop, age 96, died Tuesday evening, April 22, 2014, in Muskegon. She was born September 25, 1917 in Muskegon to Henry and Dirkje (VanDelzen) Van Andel; and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Prior to her retirement, Margaret had been employed 30 years as a secretary at the Harvey-Cooper Insurance Agency. She was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church and of its Mary-Martha Society. SURVIVORS include 1 sister, Dena (John, deceased) Malda of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Nicholas, deceased) Van Andel of Grand Rapids and Patricia (Hank, deceased) Van Andel of Muskegon and by many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James; and brother, James. Margaret’s family would like to thank the staff at Christian Care and Hospice for the support and care she received. SERVICES will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 26, at Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 695 Allen Avenue, with the Rev. Robert Bierenga officiating. VISITATION with Margaret’s family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
