Mrs. Margaret Lillian Schaub "Marge"'s Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Lillian “Marge” Schaub, age 86, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at her home in North Muskegon. She was born in Gills Pier, MI on December 16, 1925 to Frank and Mary (Kalchik) Korson. Mrs. Schaub was a founding member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was active with the Women’s Guild, Northcrest Parties, Funeral Luncheons, Prayer Line, and Bible Study. She was a member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles, enjoyed sewing, working in her flower garden, playing cards with her grandchildren, and cooking large family meals. On May 3, 1947, Marge married Leonard J. Schaub in Gills Pier, MI and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2007. She is survived by 6 children, Marilyn Keller, Ruthann Johnson, Kenneth (Mary) Schaub, Samuel Schaub, Gregory (Shelley) Schaub, and Michelle (Brian) Bowen; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Wilfred (Joan) Korson; 1 sister, Christina Korson; 2 brothers-in-law, Fred (Helena) Schaub and Robert Schaub; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. In addition to her husband, Marge was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Schaub; her parents; 1 sister, Mary Schaub; and 3 brothers, Frank Korson, Richard Korson, and Charles Korson. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, August 30, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Anthony M. “Tony” Pelak presiding. VISITATION will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 29, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with the ROSARY prayed at 6:00 PM. There will also be visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to American Cancer Society or Prince of Peace Catholic Church would be appreciated.
