Margaret Sweet's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Sweet, age 90, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at the Christian Care Living Center. She was born May 17, 1915 in Kalamazoo, MI to Henry and Susan (Bonjernoor) Zylman and lived most of her life the Muskegon area. She married Arthur D. Sweet on June 23, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1995. Prior to retirement, she worked as a sales clerk for Zales Jewelry, Hardy Herpolsheimers and Grossman’s Department Stores. She was a very active member of the former Central Lutheran Church and transferred her membership to Samuel Lutheran Church. She was past-president of the Ruth Circle. She was also past-president of the Danish Sisterhood, enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Ron (MaryAnn) Sweet of Muskegon, Bruce (Janice) Sweet of Smyrna, TN, Douglas (Vicki) Sweet of Jonesboro, AR, Susan (Raymond) Sones of Whitehall; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 brother, Peter (Faye) Zylman of Alabama; 1 sister, Jeannette Ranger of Newaygo; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 1 grandson, Michael Douglas Sweet; her parents; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Samuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. VISITATION will be held 4-7 PM Friday at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231)726-5210.
