Margaret P. Tietsort's Obituary
Margaret P. Tietsort, age 74, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019. She was born May 14, 1945 in Big Rapids, MI to Oliver A. and Bessie L. (Kelley) Cassidy. Margaret married Steven Jay Tietsort on August 11, 1993 in Baldwin, MI. She worked as a lunchroom and playground supervisor for Jolman School and retired after 10 years. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, and her many family gatherings. Margaret is survived by her husband of 26 years, Steven Tietsort; 3 children, Mark (Jennifer) Young, Kathy (Rodger) Sova, Rebecca (Richard Storm) Kinsey; 10 grandchildren, Patrick (Mary) Carr, John (Krissy) Carr, Cassidy (Jordan) Swears, Mary Johnson, Derek Carr, Ashley Johnson, Emma Kinsey, Carmen Serna, Jak Kinsey, Mauricio Serna; 9 great grandchildren; 6 brothers, Albert (Betty) Cassidy, Richard (Kim) Cassidy, John (Doni) Cassidy, Pat Cassidy, Dan (Cindy) Cassidy, Dale Cassidy; 2 sisters, Martha (Frank) Boerma, Mary (Steve) Lane; 1 sister-in-law, Carol Cassidy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 5 siblings, Harry Cassidy, Alice DeHaan, Joan (Richard) Kile, Donald Cassidy, and Billy Cassidy. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 1-2 PM Friday. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Fruitport.
